We’re delighted to announce we’re working with the incredible American American singer-songwriter and pianist KRISTEEN YOUNG

And that’s quite some pedigree!
Kristeen is one of the most incredibly creative and original artists we’ve ever encountered. We’ll let her music speak for itself here..

In The Black Midwin2r the much awaited sequel to the popular In The Black Midwinter from 2019. Much like its predecessor the aim: to display some of the best current alternative talent from Goth, Electro and other related genres. Only this time is even more currenter.er. Or something.
Thinking back to the festivals of Punk and post punk origins they didn’t have ye olde headline act to get people interested! They were about NOW and that’s exactly what we’re doing here.
Gathering together a whopping 18 acts over the entire event with each day tending toward a theme – Friday we have live drums, saturday it’s mostly what is more recognised as Goth and then Sunday things take a turn for the more electro and unusual (and perhaps at times indescribable).
The three headline acts at the festival are The Mother Of Crows from Sheffield – a 7 piece Goth Folk Rock band that are an explosion of performance and attitude on stage. No sedate sitting around singing about fields kind of folk here.
Whitby’s Westenra of whom we felt the time was right to give a headline slot to truly show what they can do. We’ve been watching their rise and what work they’ve been putting in with interest and have complete faith that they’re going to deliver.
And sunday everyone’s favourite flamboyant PVC clad futurists Jan Doyle Band will deliver a spectacular finale in the way only they can. Expect their trademark journey through varied musical styles and costume changes galore.
Of course there are many other luminaries from the scene featured that will be very familiar – Gothzilla, The Glass House Museum , the Black Riders Cult, Alixandrea Corvyn for example. But we’re also keen to introduce a couple of acts that have never played above the m25 so far – Tantrum Zentrum a post punk Krautrock NDW influenced act with songs in both Serbian and and English and Dead Blood Cells who absolutely utterly embody what industrial music should be about (and not just dance music in black eyeliner).

Chaos Bleak – Nottingham’s own goth doomsters who take inspiration from the early post-punk sound, before The Sisters became the template.
